A century at the Pharmacy School
SUPA represents every student studying a Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy at the Sydney Pharmacy School, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Founded in 1920. Still run entirely by students.
Two badges
The shield SUPA actually uses, and the one students drew for themselves.
Official
The mark used across the site, the polos and the merchandise. Letters around a mortar, pestle and serpent.
2018
An unofficial redesign by students. It adds a lion and a scroll carrying the Paracelsus line sola dosis facit venenum: only the dose makes the poison.
How it began
1920S.H. Stroud founds the association under its original name, the Sydney University Pharmaceutical Association.
1963Renamed the Sydney University Pharmacy Association, with the late Les Cashen AM as President.
TodayMore than 800 subscribed members drawn from over 1,300 pharmacy students, and the largest branch of NAPSA, which SUPA helped found.
Established to unite and inspire students to step outside the boundaries of academic life, and to excel.

Year representatives raise student issues at staff-student liaison meetings.
Student input to the Sydney Pharmacy School's Teaching and Learning Committee.

Advice, and referral to the right people for any issue you have as a pharmacy student.
The contact point between students and bodies such as the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. Free membership of these organisations is offered at our office.

Designed and sold merchandise, including hoodies.
Pharmacy teams entered in the interfaculty sporting competitions.
